Is Post Christmas Blogging Effective?

It's challenging to write a blog on Christmas day but how about after? Not that I'm busy on Christmas but I'd rather spend time with family than enjoy being along writing a blog in my office cubicle. And it's not a bad idea to just blog the next day, on the 26th. In fact, most everyone's busy on Christmas and would rather spend time with family and friends than checkout blog articles online.

But is post Christmas blogging effective? Blogging any day is effective, but most effective is posting your blog article on social media on weekends when people are not busy at work. Friday night is good and a lot better is Saturday. Sunday is a bit good, so is Sunday evening. But Monday is not advisable, though as I've said, any day is a good day to write a blog. Just make your blog extra interesting and eye-catching on Mondays.

What to Write About

Post Christmas blogging is better focused on hindsights about the previous Christmas and what to look forward to in the coming days, especially tips on how to plan for the coming year. Or analysis of the present year before it ends. Some write about the fatty, oily, greasy Christmas meals they had plus the sugary pastry delights and how to burn them off before the year ends, which sounds interesting but very seldom has real meaning. I mean, I've never heard anyone really burning off the extra calories post Christmas and pre-new year. We all just eat to our heart's delight, even those who claim to diet, like me.

What I really love blogging about are insights and ponderings about the exiting year, the things that happened (particularly the challenges), lessons learned and the overall meaning. Why did they happen? What did I get from them? I love weighing things in life and their meanings that could change me into a better person. And when I say "better" I don't mean being more appreciated by people, working harder or aiming at higher goals, which most folks are inclined to think. I mean better in God's eyes, which is something personal--something only GOD and I can understand, but which I try to share some to my readers. Who knows, they may relate to my experiences.

Prayer

The best thing to write about what may happen in the coming year is to "bloggize" your prayer for it. Not wishes but your prayer desires. But don't make it sound like a prayer. It's not advisabe to sound religious even with a inspirational blog. Do mention about GOD or Jesus if you're a Jesus believer like me, but write it in such a way that it doesn't become a prayer book. A "bloggized" (not really blogged) prayer is among the best inspirational or reflective blog post you can share to the world. What's your desire for yourself and your readers this coming year? Blog about it. BTW, I think I'd write about my wife's obssession about getting a free calendar from Mercury Drug at this time of year.
