Website Artistry

Website artistry really largely depends on the available features in the website template used. However, if you're resourceful, you can make up where the templates are weak--by simply using your creativeness.

For sure, most website templates have image-insert, font size and color, color fill, and links. Some are more generous and offer HTML. You can build a nice site with only these. What you do is compensate with images and short crisp articles plus some play with font sizes and colors. But never overdo the colors and sizes. A nice pic and short but meaty writeup usually achieves the goal. In a way it gives you website artistry.

What more if the host lets you in on some HTML? You can put one or two HTML on top and below, just to achieve an accent and disturb the monotony. But again, do not overdo the HTML. Often, just place one. A clean article is better than a too decorated one, making your page look like a public jeepney. Pubic jeepney artistry is good but only for roads and highways. It's different when online, and overkills are not website artistry.

For me, a simple, a bit narrative and personal article (not too formal) always does the trick and catches more attention. Some people want to read stuff undisturbed by too many distractions. Once swift perusal of the content, get the point of the post, and then move on. If they're distracted by a blocking ad or image that gets in the way to smooth reading and that has another message to convey, they might lose interest and click on another site.

Lots of inviting or interesting graphics litter sites and pages online everywhere. Remember that. And do be creative with images. Don't bore your guests with images of the same sizes or placed on the same corners of the pages. Variety is the spice of life.
